I would follow this thread @ dd-wrt, which it looks like you already are. I would normally suggest using a newer build, but it seems that in case that won’t work either.

I flashed it with the "mini" firmware (build 14311, file .trx) as indicated on the official wiki page (http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Asus_RT-N16).Everything was ok. Then, I tried to flash it with the "big" firmware (build 14311, file .bin), but it doesn't work. Via the web page, everytime when I try to apply a new configuration, I get a white page (apply.cgi script). If I try to put the "big" firmware, it's the same. I tried with Firefox and Safari with MacOS X, as some guys said "change your browser". Then I tried via tftp, but during the upload, I got a timeout.
